When it comes to sustainability, we know that every individual and every sector should take responsibility globally. We believe that the concept of “sustainable logistics” is one of the key steps to be taken for a better future worldwide as part of this responsibility.
As Boltas, we have been acting with an approach that focuses on protecting the environment and nature for more than 45 years. We are among the first companies in Turkey to offer intermodal transport services, which are one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transportation in the logistics sector.
Today, we keep our carbon footprint to a minimum with our intermodal operations, which we carry out the majority of our transports. In this way, we prevent the emission of 80 tons of carbon in the reciprocal trip of only one of our intermodal lines. All of our tractor units we use in our land transport operations comply with Euro 5 and Euro 6 emission limits.
Apart from our operations, we also prioritize energy efficiency in our offices and storage areas. We send many materials for recycling thanks to our waste management system. We implement sustainability in all areas through our low-energy lighting systems and our warnings as well as measures to ensure saving from water consumption in our operations.
In addition, we regularly organize planting events with our employees every year.
